A NEW SKI CONNECTION’S OFFICE

• Our main office is now situated on the first floor of Villeneuve Shopping Centre (between the Tourist Office and climbing wall, facing the Prélong car park).

SKI CONNECTIONS : SKI SCHOOL & SKI SHOP

• Ski Connections takes over a ski shop to use it as its main office and uses the opportunity to set up a ski shop offering equipment rental and ski/snowboard accessories.
  « All inclusive packs » (group lessons + equipment hire + skipass) are now available to make your first day in resort nice and easy, as well as help you take the right decisions for equipment hire and skipass according to your ski or snowboard level.

GREAT OFFERS FOR THIS WINTER

• Private coaching and tailor made sessions at discounted tarifs.
• Private coaching session for two and a half hours, every afternoon from 2pm: 100 € the session (only available outside of the Febuary Holidays).

WEEK END ESCAPADES

• For those who wish to make the most of their weekend. Ski Connections teaches and looks after your children for two sessions. Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning.

TRY OUT SNOWBOARDING

• Sunday afternoon try out snowboarding…then sign up for the 5 day
  course and benefit from a 10% reduction.

ADVANCDED WORKSHOPS

• Gain confidence and learn technique for powder skiing or develop your carving skills to have more fun on the piste. Advanced Workshops available for 1, 2 or 3 days. (For adults who can ski on all pisted runs).

SPECIAL OFFERS ON BEGINNER’S LIFTPASSES

• Ski Connections, with the Serre Chevalier liftpass conpany, offers great deals for beginners (–30%) for adults and children enrolled for a week’s course.
  Only available upto Kids 2, Adult Class 1 and Snow 1.
  Beginner liftpasses are valid for 6 days, can be used outside of lesson hours and gives you access to green and blue runs in Chantemerle and Villeneuve. (Serre Chevalier 1350 et 1400).

EVERY CHILD GETS A MEDAL :

• Ski Connections believes that every child deserves a medal, whether they have obtained the level or whether they need to confirm it the following year. Everyone gets a medal and booklet which identifies clearly what they have achieved. This booklet helps us to enroll your child in the correct group for the following year, it equally allows other ski schools to understand what they have achieved in France or abroad.
  Our levels « KIDS » are based on the major steps for learning to ski. Therefore, it is completely possible to acquire a few of these steps with Ski Connections and then continue in another school.

PRIVATE COACHING or GROUP LESSONS ?

• Do I choose Private Coaching or a Group Course? This question is often asked. Firstly some people like to learn in a group and other prefer on their own.
  

Private coaching

• Private coaching is more expensive per hour, but the lessons are orientated just to you so they are more intense and you do not need so many hours.
  Private coaching is often a good choice for beginners if you are very sporty, a little older or very nervous. It can also be an option if you are on holiday only for a weekend break. The lessons move at your speed.
  If you are equally a better skier and would like to get better in specific areas, 2 or 3 lessons help you to keep progressing.
  Private coaching does not have to be on your own, you can come with friends. However you do need to be roughly the same level and have the same objectives if you want the lesson to be effective.

Adult ski clinics

• Adult ski clinics or Children group courses are a great option if you are here for the week. They teach you general technique and helpful tactics to help you move around the mountain with more ease. The max numbers of 8 however means the group is small enough to receive personal attention. Group courses are always fun as you get to meet like minded people and enjoy the mountains together. They are a great value for money option. Our Adult and Children’s courses are for all levels, but for the more Advanced Adult Workshops are possible for one, two or three days.
  
• Group lessons are great for those who enjoy the fun of learning with others. Our groups are limited to a max of 8 so individual feedback and personal attention is completely possible. The lessons last for two and a quarter hours each morning which gives you time to progress with general technique, build confidence, explore the resort and of course have some fun.






What we teach

SKIING

• The great thing about skiing is that you do not have to be particularly sporty. Skiing is a Leisure Sport, which means having fun,
  so anyone can learn from 3 to 93. The importance is to find a type of lesson and instructor adapted for you: group lessons or private coaching.
  Our adult and children courses cater for beginner to intermediate skiers and have a maximum of 8, but 6 for The Mini Kids - beginners aged between 4 and 6 yrs. This is a great value for money option.
  Advanced workshops are also available for one, two or three days. They look at learning skills in specific areas – off-pistes, bumps, slalom or carving.

SNOWBOARDING

• Anyone can learn to snowboard, but the progression is faster and easier if you have some experience of other board sports or are naturally a bit sporty.
• Our Snowboarding courses are limited to 8 max per group and you need to be 9 years old. Our snowboarding instructors use a little bit of freestyle throughout the teaching progression to improve your technique, but also to give you style and have fun.
• If you would like to try snowboarding, but you are under 9 private coaching is a good option.
• If you are not sure you want to commit to a week’s course, come and do Try Out Snowboarding on a Sunday afternoon. Try another slide to the mountain.
• Advanced Snowboarding Workshops are available which will take you off-pistes or improve your freestyle. It is easy to Snowboard in deep snow and you do not have to have a great level to start.

FREESTYLE

• Freestyle is a great skill builder whether you are on a board or skis.Easy tricks can be learnt on the flat or over small jumps.
• Advanced workshops are available for both skiing and snowboarding, equally you can book a private coaching session with one of our specialist freestyle Instructors.
• Freestyle Adventure is a week course for teenagers, which uses freestyle to improve skiing and snowboarding skills, but equally you go off-piste, explore the mountain and learn about riding safe in the mountains. Skiers and boarders ride together.

OFF PISTE

• Serre Chevalier has some great easily accessible off piste. Off piste is possible for everyone, but the slopes that you decide to descend must be adapted to your level.
  Our Off Piste Workshops lead you gently onto slopes and snow conditions that are adapted for learning. We teach you the different techniques that you need to ski on unpisted snow and turn you into an all mountain skier. Confidence is a major factor when you move away from the crowded pistes - learning a more varied range of techniques and a few clever tactics combined with the choice of the right terrain to learn will boost your confidence and give you access to a different side of the mountain. The choice of line is a primary point when snowboarding off piste. Our Advanced Snowboarding Workshops teach you about security in the mountains, when and if you decide to head off on your own.
